Our terms and conditions at the Darcey Presbitary.
The following terms and conditions apply for booking a stay at the bed and breakfast “Le Presbytère de Darcey”, 21150 Darcey, France.
These terms and conditions are a contract legally binding the owners, Olivier HAHN and Emmanuel Gautier (we) on one part and the customer (you) on the other part.
Article 1 – Duration of stay:
The customer rents one or more rooms for a duration which is understood ahead of the stay and can in no way be extended.
Depending on the time of year, we reserve the right to limit bookings to up to two or three nights.
Article 2 – Pricing:
Our prices include all taxes except the visitor’s tax.
Article 3 – Booking:
The customer chooses amongst the services presented on the booking platform. The customer acknowledges the nature, destination and specifics of the booking and available services on the booking platform, having asked and gotten the answers to any questions necessary and or complementary to make a booking. The customer is sole responsible for his choices and the way or ways in which these choices correspond to the customer’s needs, absolving us of all responsability in this regard. Booking is considered to be accepted by the customer at the end of the booking process.
Booking process
Customer booking is undergone by the customer through the online booking form available on our booking platform. A booking process is undergone as soon as the booking coupon has been received. The customer must, before booking is complete, fill in the required information on the booking platform. The customer attests the truthfulness of the information filled in. Once the chosen services have been selected, the booking process will move on to the entry of bank card information as a garantee or deposit, and to the acceptance by the customer of the present user and pricing conditions.
Booking confirmation acknowledgement
Our booking platform acknowledges receipt of the customer’s booking by the forthwith sending of and electronic mail. In the case of an online booking procedure, said electronic mail shall mention the contract offer, the services booked, the pricing of these services and the attached pricing conditions as accepted by the customer, the booking date, information relevant to customer after-sale service as well as the vendor’s address to which the customer might send a formal complaint if needed.
Article 4 – booking cancellation:
Any cancellation should be addressed to the owner by means of an electronic mail with delivery confirmation.
Our conditions :
From 30 to 21 days before the start of the stay, we will withold 30% of the booking amount.
From 20 to 8 days before the start of the stay, we will withold 40% of the booking amount.
From 7 to 2 days before the start of the stay, we will withold 50% of the booking amount.
From two days before the start of the stay, we will withold 100% of the booking amount.
· If the customer does not show up or contact the owner before 10 p.m. on the first day of the stay, the owner reserves the right to make other use of his guest rooms. The deposit will be forfeit and the owner will reserve the right to claim the balance due.
· Should the stay be shortened, the price corresponding to the housing services shall be due to the owner. The extra services effectively consumed will also be due to the owner.
Article 5 – Owner cancellation:
Should the owner decide to cancel the stay before its first day, through no fault of his own, the owner must inform the customer as soon as possible, either by electronic mail or by telephone. The customer will then be reimbursed the full amounts paid.
Article 6 – Time of arrival:
The customer must show up on the day mentionned in the booking form at the time mentionned below:
The rooms are available from 5.00 p.m.. You are asked to let the owner know if you arrive after 7.30 p.m.
Article 7 – Departure:
Rooms must be vacated by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
Article 8 – Balance payment:
Balance payment for the stay, extra goods and services will be made at the end of the stay.
Payments can be made in the following payment methods: cash, bank cards, bank or postal cheques, ANCV holiday coupons.
Article 9 – Visitor’s tax:
The visitor’s tax is a local tax which is not included in the price of the night stay. It is collected by the owner on behalf of the municipality and is then transfered to the tax administration.
Article 10 – Room switching:
Without the customer being able to claim any compensation, the owner reserves the right to switch the room initially booked with a room of superior standing. In this case, the booking price will not be affected.
Article 11 – Table d’hôte:
The table d’hôte has to be booked at least 24 hours ahead.
Dinner is served at 8.00 p.m.
Article 12 – Pets:
Pets are not allowed at the Presbytère.
Article 13 – Smoking on the premises:
The entire inside of the house is a non-smoking area, bedrooms included. An ash tray is available outside the house.
Article 14 – Data protection:
In accordance with the Data Protection Act of January 6th 1978, you have the right to access and rectify your personal data.
“Le Presbytère de Darcey” is commited not to share any information that you have communicated to any other businesses or organisations.
The present conditions are modifiable at any time without prior notice. The payment of a booking deposit constitutes your acceptance of the present conditions and your commitment to respecting them.
